We want to caution you that you may be solicited by businesses who view the public record at the County Clerk's office where the mortgage document securing your loan will be filed. Be assured that any solicitation of that sort is not condoned by, promoted by or associated with Maple City Savings Bank. Unfortunately, some businesses scour deed and mortgage filings recorded in the Steuben, Allegany and Livingston County Clerks' offices then conduct direct mail campaigns targeted accordingly. Please do not be misled into thinking that the offer is being made on our behalf; or that we have "sold" or provided any other company with Nonpublic Personal Information about you.

The enclosed Privacy Policy Notice explains what Nonpublic Personal Information is, and explains our policy with regard to sharing your NPI with others. Please understand that we do not, and will not provide any information about you to anyone except as noted on that notice, an excerpt of which states, Nonpublic Personal Information is nonpublic information about you that we obtained in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. For example, Nonpublic Personal Information includes information regarding your account balance, payment history, and overdraft history.

What Information We Disclose

We are permitted under law to disclose Nonpublic Personal Information about you to other third parties in certain circumstances. For example, we may disclose Nonpublic Personal Information about you to third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us, to government entities in response to subpoenas, and to credit bureaus. We do not disclose any Nonpublic Personal Information about you to anyone, except as permitted by law."

While Maple City Savings Bank cannot prohibit companies from researching the public record to build customer lists for their marketing efforts; we want to assure you that we find it upsetting and are disturbed by the nature of the "offers".
